You might be forgiven for forgetting the little details in your bathroom during the cooler months. Here’s a few tips to give your bathroom a beauty boost.
1. Add a curtain
A little privacy, a lotta warmth. Both will be retained with the addition of a curtain to your bathroom space. A curtain can be as simple as a length of your favourite fabric of the moment, an upcycled vintage sheet or tablecloth, or a gossamer-light tab curtain bought off-the-rack from a big retailer.
2. Bring in the timbers
In a stool, raised bath matt, framed mirror or bath caddy. For some extra soul and texture, timber ticks the box.
3. Rug up
Step up the under-foot comfort factor with a layering of more than one rug for extra warmth on the cold tiled floor. Think outside the square and bring in a heavier, yet still absorbent Portuguese cotton bathmat or Turkish rug.
4. An intimate glow
Burning a candle while you bathe might seem like the ultimate luxury but it’s a lovely to way effect a subtle fragrance the room, even when you’re not using it. Just be sure to “set the memory” of you candle the first time you burn it to maximise its life.
5. Add a plant
To bring in a little outside and purify your air, there’s nothing like a healthy pot plant to give your bathroom a lift.
6. New towels
The perfect way to breathe new life into your bathroom is with a brand new set of towels. If yours are looking a little on the thin side, replace with a plump pile in a pop of new season colour
7. Hang art
Have you forgotten your bathroom walls when it comes to gallery space for your beloved artworks? Bring in something you’d love to contemplate as you soak in the tub or brush your teeth each morning.
8. A coat of paint
Banish mould and brighten your bathing space with a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Use all white for ultimate freshness, or add a touch of colour that compliments your current mood, new towels or favourite shower curtain.
9. Did we say shower curtain?
How is yours looking? Replace it with something a little fun or glamorous to mis things up a little.
