House Rules winners Aaron and Daniella Winter have fallen in love with engineered stone on their journey to creating homes with heart.

In their new business flipping houses for sale, the savvy couple are honing their skills as a dynamic design-and-build-duo  with each renovation and they can’t get enough of Caesarstone.

In their first project, on the Gold Coast Daniella chose the same colour as was used in their House Rules renovated home – Calacatta Nuvo.

After falling in love with the product during their time as contestants on House Rules, the couple continues to find new ways to use the versatile surface. In their most recent renovation, they started with Caesarstone for all their kitchen benchtops, stemming from a desire to carry the same surface throughout the whole home for a cohesive look.

“I didn’t know about any products until I got onto House Rules,” says Daniella on the Caesarstone blog, “But after working closely with the suppliers I got to learn about these things. My dream was to work with Caesarstone to produce what I want to produce, and that’s what we got to do at this house.”

“The main focus for us was the kitchen,” she says. “Everyone walked in and was like: ‘Wow! Look at your island bench’. It was massive and we used it at 60mm thick – and we did that in the butler’s pantry as well. It was just stunning.”

“We have Caesarstone everywhere,” she adds with a laugh. “We put it in the kitchen, the laundry and then the master bedroom, where it’s in the wardrobe, used on a bench.” They even used it for a desk space in the kids’ room.

In the outdoor kitchen, the couple used the new ‘Raw Concrete’ finish to mix things up a little and transition to the outdoor entertaining area. “I wanted that indoor/outdoor feeling,” says Daniella.

With the same finish flowing from room to room and even to the outside spaces, the whole home has a unified appearance – making a statement in some rooms and merely a quiet reference in others.
