In the rolling hills outside Ojai, California, actor and filmmaker Justin Baldoni and his wife Emily have quietly put their retreat-style estate on the market, asking for $AU12.5 million ($US8.88 million) – a dramatic leap from the $US2.1 million they paid in 2020.

With panoramic views of the Topa Topa Mountains, the property sprawls across 10 acres and the couple have put a lot of work into it since buying it. It now appears more like a wellness sanctuary rather than a traditional family home.

The Mediterranean-style main residence spreads across 5,200 sq ft, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. Indoors, the couple drew heavily on inspirations from their travels for the decor.

Holistic lifestyle features abound throughout, from the saltwater pool and regenerative orchard to the kòi pond with its own waterfall and an elevated hot tub.
Two geodesic domes – one a yoga studio, the other a guest retreat – were imported from Poland, with a custom-built tiny house tucked into the grounds.

Among the more unusual details are the medical-grade air filtration and electromagnetic shielding in the main house.

Justin’s mum is “a feng shui master” and he and Emily “designed the whole house with feng shui in mind”, he told Architectural Digest in 2023.

The timing of the listing has been widely discussed. Justin, known for directing and starring in the film It Ends With Us, is currently facing his co-star, Blake Lively, in a legal trial – a dispute that has played out in headlines and court filings alike.

Blake originally brought sexual harassment and retaliation claims linked to the production of their film. Justin has denied the allegations and responded with a countersuit, though aspects of his legal response have been dismissed by a judge. The case is now set for trial in mid-May 2026.
