We know Gwyneth Paltrow is real. But did you know just how like us the founder of Wellness, food and lifestyle brand, Goop really is?

If your pantry is a scary place where you brace against one heaving shelf to unload your groceries onto another into any nook or cranny between a jumble of spice jars, novelty teas and oversized cereal boxes, you’re not alone.

Pantry organization is big business – you only have to look at Tupperware to know the potential and whilst we know celebrities are humans too, it’s always nice to see inside their worlds.

So thought the team at The Home Edit when she sought their help, and a mutual admiration society ensued.

“When Gwyneth asked us to organize her pantry…. we were like, WE’LL BE RIGHT OVER”

The main goals:

  • better utilize the door space
  • group the most used categories into easy to access bins, and
  • use the top shelves for back stock items and lesser utilized canned goods.

Here are our tips to adopt:

1. Use baskets to keep things beautiful

Baskets of all sorts – open, wire, natural and plastic, and all of them beautiful. Stack cans in these for easy access.

2. Decant everything into jars and plastic containers

…that are uniform in shape and size, therefore stackable for most efficient use of space.  Add transparent plastic boxes for anything that stays in a packet.

3. Label everything

Right down to including cooking instructions on the label. This way no one has an excuse for not returning things to their rightful place.

4. Make it pretty

Who says you can’t have a beautiful pantry? When things look beautiful you’re more likely to keep them that way.

5. Add a Lazy Susan

What’s not to love?
