Fresh florals

(Interior Design: Greg Natale / Photography: Anson Smart)

“Florals… for spring… groundbreaking.” While the doyenne of style, Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada),  may not appreciate a fresh look at blousy fabrics and blooming wallpapers, we’re here for it in 2025. If the last 100 years have taught us anything, it’s that you need look no further than nature itself for colour and pattern inspiration. The divine Edna Walling said, “I like the whole thing to be as wild as possible, so that you have to fight your way through in places,” and we can’t agree more. Layered in fabrics, on walls and dotted throughout our decor, flowers make everyone happy.

Custom wine cellars

With the spotlight firmly trained on the various wine cellars being unveiled this season on The Block, here at Home Beautiful, we’ve always been partial to dedicated wine storage. If you’re serious about your own wine collection and space allows–whether under- or above-ground–you too should go the extra mile, too. As long as you can maintain a steady temperature of 12-14°C, look to underutilised spaces around the home and modify to accommodate your precious pours – even under the stairs!
