Particularly for lovers of design, food and fashion, a quick browse through Instagram can yield a new cocktail idea, party dress or a complete overhaul of your living room – often when you least expect it.

Here are our favourite foodie feeds at the moment:

1. @d_elleicious

Better Homes and Gardens Food Editor Elle Vernon is an inspiration on screens big and small. Colourful and creative, moreish and masterful – there’s nothing she can’t turn a spatula to.

2. _michellecrawford

Food stylist, author, cook and recipe writer Michelle Crawford lives in an old farmhouse in Tasmania’s beautiful Huon Valley. Here she poaches, pickles, bottles and bakes produce from her own garden, inspired by the breathtaking countryside that surrounds her.

3. @cookrepublic

You know that feeling when you look through a menu and think, “I’ll have everything!”? We get it scrolling through Sydney Photographer Sneh Roy’s Instagram feed. But mostly we get hungry….

You may already know we’re suckers for Leah’s enthusiasm for healthful, delicious food. An ex Home Beautiful staffer, nutrition and natural food expert, Leah now resides in Brooklyn, New York and has recently published a recipe book called The New Nourishing. In her day job Leah publishes mouthwatering of food bowls guaranteed to fuel your daily feast. Try her recipe for Buffalo Cauliflower Chickpea bowl.

Australian-Italian writer, photographer and cook, Paola Baccia lives in Melbourne but her food heart lives in Northern Italy. Drawing on her ancestral home she brings to the Instagram table food as a lifestyle to be lived – from the perfect cocktail moment through perfect handmade pasta to delicately dusted crostoli… with the odd gentle meander through a vineyard in the Italian countryside.

Sydney-based Lorraine Elliott has been blogging about food for over 10 years and her feed remains as fresh and enticing as the first spring stalk of asparagus. A passionate foodie, here is a great place to be inspired by everything good about the world of food – restaurants, travel and the most luscious photography. She practices what she preaches too – her own cooking is incredible and often plated up with just a little tongue-in-cheek.
