Set the table – and the scene – with a bounty of seasonal blooms and your prettiest plates
The beginning of spring is the perfect excuse to dust off your dinnerware and air out your best linens. Set the table ahead of their arrival by arranging entree and dinner plates in layers for each guest – matching or mixed, keeping it simple by tying the look together with a set colour scheme. Top with an elegant linen napkin in a soft shade to match your flowers.
A little goes a long way – split a bunch of seasonal flowers picked up at the growers market between all of your place settings. Think beyond the traditional vase – lay hardier stems of flowering blooms along the centre of your table or make small flower arrangements for each plate and place in interesting vessels with a spritz of water to keep them fresh.
