Alice's cake alter ego, Miss Trixie Drinks Tea, is all about turning back the clock to those first sugary moments. “I just want those simple pleasures in life. And typically, if I were to trace them back, it goes back to a moment in my childhood when I loved that and felt joy,” says Alice. Though she left media and production to grow her baking side hustle into a business, Alice is still all about spreading a message – today, it’s to champion emerging bakers. It’s easy to think: “I’m not trained in this, so why would anyone buy my product?” But they do, and they line up around the block when Alice hosts a Bake Sale at Co.Bake – the shared kitchen and pop-up space she founded with Alisha Henderson. The pop-ups at Co.Bake give independent bakers a chance to connect with customers and be enthusiastically pepped up by fellow bakers.
