We can’t all spring for an entire set of Thonet bentwood dining chairs to surround our 10 seater table so, with the catwalk emboldening us away from matchy-matchy shoes and sending odd pairs down the runway, we applied this concept to our dining tables, with some great results!
1. Timber time
Unite an otherwise disparate group by what they’re made of. This collection of chairs has some serious design integrity amongst them and are united in material, rather than divided by style.
2. Head liner
If a complete set of your favourite chair is prohibited by space or affordability, invest in one hero piece and place it at the head of the table for maximum impact.
3. Colour code
Mix up with a riot of colour your collection of similar-but-not-exactly-matching chairs, or just add flair to your dining zone with one in your choice of every colour available.
4. Design time
Can’t make up your mind which style you love best? Get them both. This wishbone chair in lime green acts as carver to its Eames styled counterparts.
5. All creatures great and small
Again united by texture, this time the dining table joins the timber party, allowing the lines and detail of the carved dining chairs to shine. Mix it up further by bringing in outdoor seating to serve indoors.
