We might not celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but we can certainly appreciate this Martha Stewart farmhouse-style stay that’s currently decorated with Thanksgiving vibes. Located in Bedford, New York, the decor expert has teamed up with Booking.com to make her cosy abode available to book for one lucky pair for one time only.
The overnight stay took place on November 18-19 and the winners were treated to a special itinerary. It included a guided tour of the property by Martha’s Head Gardener Ryan McCallister, with sights such as her Insta-famous chicken coop, gardens and stables.
There was also a table setting and wreath-making demo with Executive Director of Design, Kevin Sharkey, and brunch with Martha herself, prepared by award-winning chef Thomas Joseph.
The Booking.com promotion was on a first-come, first-served basis, going for just $US11.23 on November 16 to the quickest to get in.
Despite the fact that we don’t have chilly weather over the festive season, it seems like Martha Stewart’s Thanksgiving-inspired home is exactly the kind of vibe we’re after this summer, even in Australia. Research showed that the equivalent of 4 million Aussies said that a farm stay is the type of holiday home that appeals to them the most. Homes outside the city are in high demand, with more Aussies saying they’re interested in booking cosy cabins (33 per cent) and country cottages (32 per cent).

In keeping with Martha Stewart’s style throughout the rest of the home, the bedrooms are elegant and cosy. Neutral walls and white doors and frames are contrasted with black accents in the mirror and bed frame.
A book shelf is built in behind the single bed with wall lights adding ambience for reading. The glass-panelled windows completely transform the space into an idyllic retreat.
