The botanic trend is one that seems to ebb and flow as the seasons change, gaining popularity as spring rolls in, reigning over summer and only relinquishing its hold over the interior trend scene come autumn, when winter hues and cosy palettes come into play. Botanic prints and colours never really go out of style, so it’s worthwhile spending some time getting to know this trend, and try incorporating it into your home this spring for an outdoors-inspired revamp. Kristy Withers of Incy Interiors gives us her top tips for working with the botanic trend.

What kind of botanical prints are on trend right now?

It’s all about leafy green this season, and the trend has definitely been growing! We love seeing leafy botanical foliage mixed with colourful florals, and right now we’re seeing heavy usage of cactus prints and large palm tree leaves.

How can we incorporate a botanic print into a room?

Botanical statement walls (using wallpaper) add immediate interest to any room. Fake it with ferns, florals and leaf print wallpaper collections or select cushions featuring leafy greens. Planters, branches and vases with foliage create visual interest, while vintage botanical prints can add a charming touch to the space.

You can’t go wrong bringing the outdoors in with your favourite plants or prints.

What colours work well with this trend?

Forest green is rich, warm and regal hue that promises to enhance the mood of any room, and add a touch of metallics.

Suede! It’s buttery, supple, and oh-so-soft, and we’re so excited to introduce it into our collection.
