Turns out you’ve been cutting bread wrong all along

There's a right and a wrong way to cut that loaf ... apparently

If you love making, baking and slicing your own fresh loaves of bread, then it might come as quite a surprise that you’ve likely been slicing your bread wrong all these years.

For those of us who have become accustomed to sliced bread that is a little thin at the top and too thick to fit into the toaster at the bottom, then this new way to slice bread might just be what you’ve been searching for.

Apparently, and you can be the judge of this, the best way to cut your bread is to turn the loaf onto its side and then cut it away from you with just a little downward pressure.

This technique results in perfectly proportioned slices of bread that are ready to be smothered with butter, jam or your favourite spread.

That means no more squashing slices into the toaster only to end up with charred bits at one end and an uneven toast all over.
