Whether Wes Anderson started it all with his retro-kitsch film The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2014 or not, pink is said to soothe and nurture the soul. Candana has taken the plunge for long term therapy with the launch of the Rodney bath by Boyd Alternatives.

Lush in stature as well as style, it measures 1680mm x 1090mm x 500mm and designed for “full body immersion”, it retails at $7800. If you’re a little nervous, colour sample swatches are available, so you can style it to your home before investing.
“Pairing millennial pink hues with brass, bronze or copper tapware will compliment the colour and give the space a more robust look. It’s audacious, but placing a pink bath in the bathroom can be that touch of colour to take a space from pretty to extraordinary.”
Whilst a pink bath should be a showstopper, it’s actually quite calming to behold so, from where we sit, it’s already working.
