Streamlined and structured or bold and beautiful, whatever floats your professional boat should be translated to your work environment at home. But is it warm enough?
Working from home presents a fantastic work-life balance and the flexibility of cutting out commute time, parking hassles, wardrobe crises and bad coffee certainly has its appeal. As the cold weather takes hold though, how have you cozied up your workspace to keep comfy and fuel the money-making machine?
1. Bring the outside in

2. Grab a throw
Staying warm can be as simple as adding a snuggly throw or blanket to keep the chill off, particularly if the room warms up throughout the day as you can cast it aside. It helps if it matches your home decor!
3. Move it around
If your home office space is usually set up in a rear or quiet part of the house, consider bringing it inside when the weather turns cool to save on heating and keep it cozy.
4. Hang a curtain
A light, bright workspace is ideal to stimulate creativity but your precious (and costly!) heating will be lost through a large expanse of uncovered glass. The addition of a curtain in winter makes a big difference, even in a sheer fabric.
5. Bring in a rug
Having a rug underfoot muffles sound, provides warmth and stops drafts running across the floor and through cracks in timber floorboards. Try to tuck it under your desk to give your feet a warm and comfy resting place.
