Home Beautiful visited the amazing Sheridan showroom for a preview of The Journal – the 2019 Autumn/Winter collection.
Dropping in February 2019, the stunning range builds on the core styles with new colours to work in with the existing collection and introduce a seasonal palette – inspired by the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales – that is at once timeless and bang on trend.
Organic Cotton
Expanding the 100% certified organic cotton range with a new colour injection in “Frost Grey”, the hard work on research and production of a GOTS certified organic range continues to yield sheet sets that are breathable and soft on the skin, woven in 400 thread count sateen, making for a comfortable night’s sleep. This is available now in classic White.
The hotel weight, timeless Masterson design has a woven pattern of matte and sateen threads to affect a subtle stripe. Understated in style, it is crafted from a 1200 thread count of superior long-staple cotton, so is luxuriously soft, sitting at the top of the Sheridan quality sheeting offering. The new colour this season is “Wicker”, a warm neutral with classic undertones.
Building on the incredibly popular Abbotson linen range of sheets is a band of new tones, including the golden ‘Honey’, dusty ‘Winterberry’, moody ‘Pewter’ and a deep, dark ‘Pacific Blue’ to round out the range.
Each year, the Sheridan design team take a trip around Australia in search of inspiration for the upcoming range. This year their travels took them to the Blue Mountains and their inspiration is evident in lush renditions of native flora – soft flannel flowers, deep silvery-blue gum tones and vibrant waratahs dancing across quilt covers. Artworks have also been transferred directly from the art books of the design team and printed and framed to be wall hung.
Elsewhere in the range, Sheridan has introduced their take on metallics – ever elegant, with a touch of shimmer in a velvet cushion here, a modest sparkle in a delicately patterned sheet there.
The selection of homewares continues to grow, with beautiful and tactile glass vases in elegant ribbed textures and ombre colourways. And who knew how many actual pieces of furniture Sheridan produced?
With the new colours forming the Autumn/Winter range for 2019, they will hit stores in February but many are an extension of existing ranges so perhaps start your collection with base colours available now, then add seasonal highlights as they hit the market.
Look again to Sheridan for timeless interior style – not just in the bedroom, but for the whole home. What you will find is an elegant selection of quality pieces that are considered, designed and made to last.
