It’s so beautiful!
We love to know how the other half live and often find ourselves wondering how we would decorate our homes if money was no object.
Enter the superstar model, business woman and always-intriguing fashion icon Kate Moss who, ever since she hit the modelling scene in 1988 at the tender age of 14 has wowed the world with her inimitable style, often leaning a little on the bohemian side.
Her latest collaboration with luxury design house de Gournay has delighted us – not just for the chance to peek inside Ms Moss’s bathroom, but to view an entire collection of exquisite hand-painted designs in fanciful, elaborate and incredible detail.
Kate’s own design is called ‘Anemones in Light’ and features a lush bouquet of blooms, handpainted blooms by de Gournay artists in the ‘Dusk’ colourway tones of silvery blue and navy on a textured background.
Of significance is the flower meaning for the anemone – “a flower born of Aphodite’s tears for Adonis and a symbol of luck.”
Luck indeed, but mostly style. The panelled bathroom is everything sumptuous, where white architectural detailing in the walls criss-cross the delicate florals in the wallpaper – weaving their way around original fireplaces and catching the light to echo the crisp white of a showstopping, double-ended freestanding clawfoot ‘Spey’ bathtub from Drummonds.
The design also comes in a ‘Daybreak’ colourway, with brighter teal tones and pops of colour through vertical linear shards, seen here as featured in Architectural Digest, with Kate in her hallway.
