Haymes paints has released their 10th Colour Forecast and it’s brimful of design ideas to steal.
Just about every home renovator would give their eye teeth to have an interior decorator stand in their room and walk them through the latest new season colours, giving tips on the how and why of painting walls and how to use colour when decorating in the home.
Looking through a brochure is the first step but Haymes have gone one step further with paint colour ideas in their 2018 Colour Forecast, bringing together three very different palettes that might surprise you.
“Streetscape” draws on the global urban landscape with a vibrant, energetic palette. It’s colour that may take you out of your comfort zone – in a good way! Experience a heady mix of edgy primary tones, juxtaposed with textured teals and concrete greys – bringing a sophisticated bent.
“Verge” is dark and moody midnight – sultry navy tones, matt finish textures and a breath of berry and plum. If you think it’s sounding like wine tasting notes, add a touch of rustic gold and you’re not far from the relaxing, peaceful experience this palette evokes.
Inspired by nature and driven by natural clays, handmade earthenware and rural landscapes, “Unearthed” features the rusty brown, dirty tones of mud, soil and bark. This palette brings us rich pairings of the latest warm greys and browns in touch-me textures.
