Brilliant hues
Glittering Bisazza ‘Oleandro’ mosaics coat the floor and walls, with white plantation shutters, a Kado ‘Lure freestanding bath from Reece and white gloss tiles in the shower to provide relief. “When choosing a high-voltage colour, go for the one that stops your heart the first time you look at it,” advises interior designer Carolyn Burns-McCrave, who designed this space. “If you need to talk yourself into it, it’s not the right hue for you!”
Space savers
Using the same vibrant tone of mosaics on the floor and walls creates an illusion of endless room. A custom oak veneer vanity with a white Caesarstone benchtop and undermounted sink is a calm contrast. Wall-mounted tapware – this is a Phoenix ‘Kubus wall-mounted basin set from Reece – is a smart space-saving device for a narrow vanity. The towel rails are Kado ‘Quad’, also from Reece.
Float on
The vanity features open shelves at one end to reduce its visual bulk, while expansive mirror-fronted cupboards provide vital storage and reflect the views from the large window, helping the room feel bigger and brighter.
Shower in style
In contrast to the rest of the room, the shower, complete with square shower rose from Reece, has plain ‘Marc’ white gloss tiles from Signorino Tile Gallery. A neat recessed shelf makes the enclosure as user-friendly as it is stylish.
